Printable Biography

After a number of short-term experiences in Latin America, Abby began to sense her own call to serve God and the church cross-culturally. During an internship in Bogotá, her heart was stirred by the stories of children and displaced families. The Church of God, very thankful for her internship ministry, requested that she return to help them establish a strong evangelism and discipleship ministry to urban poor and displaced families.

Abby grew up as a Church of God pastor's daughter, and from childhood she was involved in missions' experiences: participating in Kid's Place at the North American Conventions, attending missions' conferences, and listening to the stories of missionaries. These cross-cultural experiences fostered a love and passion for the work of missions. .

In 2007, she graduated from the University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in psychology and Spanish, and in 2009 she graduated from the Anderson University School of Theology with a master of arts in intercultural service. Abby has been living and working in Colombia since April 2010, focusing initially on building relationships with the local church and teaching about the call every believer has to participate in the mission of God in the world. Together they are seeking the Lord's will and faithfully developing ministries that the Lord has in store for the Church of God in Colombia.
