Showcasing Australia’s innovative green building industry

To coincide with World Green Building Week, the Australian Trade Commission (Austrade) and the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) have launched two publications highlighting the achievements of Australia’s world-class sustainable building industry.

The Australian Green Building Industry Overview provides a snapshot of Australia’s environmental outcomes across building development, design, and technology. The Australian Green Building Showcase highlights the achievements of Australian firms already working in international markets and actively seeking new opportunities. 

In 2000, the Sydney Olympic Games set the green building movement in motion across Australia. Since then, Australia’s architects, engineers and technology suppliers have delivered more than 350 Green Star-certified buildings.

With the launch of the two publications, Austrade is positioning the Australian green building industry as an ideal partner for developing green projects globally. Coupled with events like the Australian Green Building and Sustainable Infrastructure Forum, these publications promote Australian companies as world leaders in design, engineering, innovative products and technology.
