A world of experience for travellers

The Passports Office is located at the Tasmanian State Office. Counter service is available weekdays 8.30am - 4.00pm. Passport information and appointments are available from the Australian Passport Information Service on 131 232.

Tasmania State Director, Edward Sulikowski

Edward Sulikowski transferred to the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 1987, having previously worked in the Commonwealth Treasury and the Department of Overseas Trade. He has been State Director Tasmania since May 2010.

Mr Sulikowski has held a number of positions in Canberra, including Director Services Trade Negotiations where he led the services trade negotiating team in the Department’s Office of Trade Negotiations. He was also involved in the negotiation of a number of free trade agreements, including with ASEAN, Malaysia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Mr Sulikowski has also held the positions of Director China Section and Director East Asia Analytical Unit in the Department.

Mr Sulikowski has served overseas as Counsellor at Australia’s WTO Mission in Geneva with responsibility for services, investment, competition policy and e-commerce and as Counsellor (Economic) at the Australian Embassy in Beijing.

Born in Hobart, Mr Sulikowski holds a BEc(Hons) degree from the University of Tasmania. He is married with two children.
