The City of Stratford Community Services Department is pleased to offer social service agencies free Lions Pool swim passes for children (2-15 years) using agency services, and who are residents of the City of Stratford. Participants who are not residents of the City of Stratford are no longer eligible to participate in this program. To participate in our program, please fully complete pass request form below.  To avoid duplication of requests, please communicate with your participants that they MUST ONLY use one agency to make pass requests. Pass Approvals & Renewals

We ask that agencies allow us at least 3 business days to review pass requests. Approved participants can pick up his/her 5-visit card at the pool after the 3 business day mark.  Should a participant not be approved, the City will notify the requesting agency within the 3 business day period.  All passes will be issued at the Lions Pool. As individual 5-visit cards are used up, a new 5-visit will be issued. Please note that passes are NOT transferable, and will not be issued until they have been approved.

Please take special note of our swim admission policies:

Pool Access Policy

Children under the age of 8 can participate in public swims ONLY if:

1. They are supervised by a responsible person 12 years of age or older. The responsible person must be in the water and remain within one arms reach of their child. This responsible person may not supervise more than 2 swimmers at any time;

or

2. The child can successfully complete our Swimming Competency Test. All tests are administered at the Lions Pool.

Swim Admission Fees for Parents/Guardians

We ask that agencies communicate with the parent/guardian of the child that a Swim Admission Fee will be charged should they be required to, or choose to swim. If your agency would like to purchase swim passes on behalf of a parent/guardian, please add them to the appropriate section of the pass request form, and the agency will be billed accordingly at the end of the summer. Support Workers are excluded (see below).

Support Workers Policy

The City of Stratford issues many free passes to children associated with social service agencies. Some of these children who receive passes must be accompanied by their worker at all times. Support workers from these agencies, that assist children in the water, can do so free of charge. All other workers from other organizations assisting patrons in the water must pay to do so.

We look forward to accommodating your participants. Click here to for our swimming schedules and admission fees.
