Rick Nelson

Columnist/Reporter   |   Dining and Food
Rick Nelson is a restaurant critic and food writer, and he and Claude Peck are the "RN" and "CP," respectively, of Withering Glance, a Sunday column in variety. He also blogs with Lee Svitak Dean in a food blog, Table Talk.

Claude Peck

Editor   |   Fine arts, features
Claude Peck spent most of his journalism career in the pre-blog era, but will try to keep up. After all, he’s already embarrassing his nieces on Facebook and dressing inappropriately for his age group. At the Star Tribune, he oversees coverage of movies, nightlife, theater, classical music, dance and the Talking Volumes book series. With Rick Nelson, he does the weekly column called Withering Glance.

C.J.

Columnist   |   The Dish
C.J. is a columnist in the Star Tribune's Twin Cities section. Her column appears Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

Neal Justin

Columnist/Reporter   |   Media
As TV and media critic, Neal Justin has had the good fortune to interview David Letterman, Amy Adams, Howard Stern, Robert Redford, Mary Tyler Moore, Ben Kingsley and Urkel from “Family Matters.” Before joining the Star Tribune in 1995, he covered crime for the Rockford Register Star, which may explain his affinity for “Hill Street Blues” and “The Wire.”

Chris Riemenschneider

Columnist/Reporter   |   Local Music
Chris Riemenschneider has been covering the Twin Cities music scene since 2001, long enough to earn a shout-out from Prince during “Play That Funky Music (White Boy).” The St. Paul native was also a music critic at the Austin American-Statesman for five years.

Tom Horgen

Columnist/Reporter/Editor   |   Nightlife
Tom Horgen is an editor and reporter in the Star Tribune's Variety section. He has covered nightlife, restaurants, music, fashion, film, comic books and art for the paper. He hopes you'll check him out on Twitter (please excuse the excessive food and cat photos).

Colin Covert

Columnist/Reporter   |   Movies
Colin Covert has covered films for the Star Tribune for 20 years, interviewing Peter Jackson, Kate Winslet, Steven Spielberg, Cate Blanchett, Quentin Tarantino, Neil Gaiman and John Travolta, to name a few. Colin’s job as a film critic consists mostly of thinking up synonyms for “mediocre.” He still gets a thrill when the lights dim, and all too often a bigger thrill when they come on again.
