Bikers like to point their finger at drivers as the reason for crashes and drivers do the same to bikers.

It turns out both are almost equally to blame.

Nancy Breberg prayed as she spent 18 hours last weekend trapped in her overturned car in a St. Louis Park drainage ditch as water seeped in and temperatures dropped.

Minnesota school officials are expanding their focus from security at high schools to the state's more than 900 elementary schools, which often haven't had the same safety precautions or personnel as secondary schools.

A mother and two children were killed Saturday when the vehicle they were riding in rolled off an icy road in northern Minnesota, authorities said.

A little more than a year ago, U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann was barnstorming across Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina, carrying the Tea Party banner in the GOP presidential primaries.

Now the Minnesota Republican is hardly heard from anymore, barely uttering a word in public during the simmering build-up to the "fiscal cliff" deal in Congress, which she opposed.

Gone are the boisterous rallies opposing Obamacare, the rousing church testimonials and the controversial TV utterances about Islamist moles in government that raised money even as they rained down critical headlines.

The flu shot, it might be said, is the black sheep of the vaccine family. In good years, people ignore it because they think the flu is no big deal. In bad years -- like this one -- they complain that it doesn't work well enough.
