TAV ranks second on ENR's global airport contractors list

22 December 2013 /TODAY'S ZAMAN, İSTANBUL
Turkey's leading airport operator TAV Construction was marked as the second largest airport constructor in the world on international construction sector magazine Engineering News-Record's (ENR) recently published list.

TAV Construction was listed as the second largest company in airport construction with $709.7 million in profits in 2012 and over $16 billion in total deals made to this day. It was number two after the Bechtel Corporation, which is the largest construction and engineering company and based in the US. TAV was also listed as No. 33 in transportation sector construction projects.

TAV Construction CEO Sani Şener pointed out that the company has become an expert in the complex and challenging field of airport design, construction and financing while growing rapidly and becoming a leading brand in the sector.

“By taking up projects such as the Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal in the United Arab Emirates and the Medina, Jeddah and Riyadh airports in Saudi Arabia, we have achieved great success in the Gulf region in the past two years. We have been listed amongst the top five global airport contractors by ENR in the last four years and believe that we successfully represent Turkey in the listing. This is due to the success of our architects, engineers and those working in operations. We will continue to monitor opportunities in the world and rise to even better ranks by working harder,” Şener said.
