In retrospect: İstanbul's classical music scene in 2013

International colleagues of mine in the music world question me about whether the classical music scene in İstanbul is mirroring what's happening in other countries: orchestras and opera companies going out of business, arts journalists fired, public school music education canceled, classical radio stations shut down and media coverage of classical arts disappearing.
