Priest at Philip Seymour Hoffman's Funeral: 'I Learned About Humility from Him'
The priest who advised Philip Seymour Hoffman on his role as Father Flynn in the movie Doubt presided at the actor's funeral Mass Friday. Fr. James Martin S.J., a Jesuit priest, met Hoffman when he came in to consult on the Labyrinth Theater Company's production of The Last Days of Judas Iscariot, which Hoffman directed in 2003. Martin then joined the company as a member, and later advised Hoffman on 2008's Doubt. The two spent time together at New York City's Saint Ignatius Church, where Martin taught Hoffman how a priest celebrates Mass. It was in that same church on See more »

The Russian Police Choir Singing "Get Lucky" Was the Best Part of the Olympic's Opening Ceremony
34 minutes ago
Sure, t.A.t.U. may have been the most famous performers at today's Olympics Opening Ceremony (you may remember them from their 2002 hit "All The Things She Said"). And yes, a malfunctioning snowflake may have been the biggest scandal so far. And Ok, that animatronic bear mascot will be what you'll remember (especially when you see him in your dreams). Hands down, it was definitely this very enthusiastic performance of Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs (if that all sounds familiar, it's because a video of them rehearsing the number went viral last year). Dylan Farrow is already too old to bring a criminal case against Woody Allen | Heather Long
1 hour ago
Child abuse victims only have until a certain age to bring charges against their perpetrators. It's another injustice
I don't know if Dylan Farrow's allegations that Woody Allen sexually abused her are true or not. But I do know this: even if everything she says is valid, it will be difficult for her to get justice.
There are the usual reasons: Woody Allen is famous and at the top of his professional craft, and this is basically a he said-she said situation without the proof we've come to expect in the 21st century: DNA results, salacious texts and emails, See more »

Terry Gilliam Reveals Don Quixote Start Date
8 hours ago
The tale of Terry Gilliam’s The Man Who Killed Don Quixote is part of movie lore.
