Paul Bettany to Play the Vision in Marvel’s ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’

Paul Bettany, best known in the Marvel world for voicing Jarvis, Tony Stark’s helpful A.I. system, will be playing the Vision in Marvel’s “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”
Production starts next month, with director Joss Whedon and cast members like Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans. The Vision was an android created by the robotic villain Ultron, who was meant to be one of Ultron’s henchmen but who instead turns against him and becomes a hero.
Kevin Feige will produce.
Bettany is repped by UTA and Affirmative Entertainment and can be seen next in Alcon’s “Transcendence.” The Daily Mail first broke the news.

Philip Seymour Hoffman was remembered at a private but star-studded funeral on Manhattan's Upper East Side on Friday. Dylan Farrow Gives First Interiew After New York Times Letter

For the first time since she penned her letter to the New York Times about the alleged sexual abuse she has accused her adoptive father Woody Allen of, Dylan Farrow has spoken to People about both the charges she has made and the backlash.
Farrow’s critics have accused her of writing the letter as a means of sabotaging her father and his career, but she insists this isn’t the case. “I’ve been hearing that a lot,” Farrow told People. “I’m happy to answer that. My intention in writing that piece was to put the truth on paper from a voice that was not able to speak before.”
After the letter caused a huge media outcry, 78-year-old Allen vehemently denied the allegations via his publicist, who said, “Mr. Allen has read the article and found it untrue and disgraceful.”

CNN has pulled “AC360 Later” from its primetime schedule, a spokesperson for the network told TheWrap on Friday. The Anderson Cooper-lead show, which debuted in September at 10 p.m., had been an experimental discussion-based series that never had a permanent spot on the schedule. The show was frequently bumped for breaking news, like the death of Nelson Mandela, and special programming like CNN’s documentaries and films. The daughter of Olympic athlete Jesse Owens, Marlene Owens Rankin, was at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on Thursday to attend the international sales launch of “Race,” the biopic about her father. Variety spoke to her and Stephen Hopkins, the director of the film, whose cast has just been joined by Jeremy Irons and Geoffrey Rush.
Owens Rankin, sitting yards from the spot where Adolf Hitler watched the 1936 Olympics in which Owens won four gold medals, said the film can deliver an uplifting message to young moviegoers.
“The message it can deliver is about the human spirit — about its endurance and vulnerability — but also the success you can achieve when you are motivated, and persevere in the face of adversity,” she said. “So, hopefully, kids who are underachieving and who lack hope will be motivated by his life and successes in spite of all he went through.”
