Catfish Directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman Take on Nerve

Catfish directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman have signed on to direct an adaptation of Jeanne Ryan's young adult novel Nerve.

The story centers on a teenager named Vee, who is lured in to join a global, online game of truth or dare, where an audience of "watchers" around the globe vote and comment on her performance. She is teamed up with a young man named Ian, and as they continue to advance through the game, they realize they just might be playing with their lives, as the game grows more and more dangerous. The book was published in 2012 by Penguin, and has been translated into six different languages.

Jessica Sharzer, a writer and producer for FX's American Horror Story, wrote the screenplay adaptation, with Allison Shearmur producing. No production schedule was given.

Terminator: Genesis: Kyle Reese Role Down to Jai Courtney and Boyd Holbrook

Paramount has narrowed down their casting search for Kyle Reese in Terminator: Genesis to two actors, Jai Courtney and Boyd Holbrook. Both actors were mentioned as candidates last month, along with Sam Reid (The Railway Man), Wilson Bethel (Hart of Dixie) and newcomer Tom Cocquerel, who has no big-screen credits to his name yet.

Michael Biehn portrayed Kyle Reese in the original 1984 classic The Terminator, a soldier sent back from the future to protect resistance leader John Connor's mother Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), with Kyle eventually becoming John's father. Whoever lands the role will join a cast that includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, whose exact role has not been confirmed, Jason Clarke as John Connor and Emilia Clarke as Sarah Connor. Jack Black and James Marsden Join The D-Train

Jack Black and James Marsden have signed on to star in the upcoming indie comedy The D-Train.

The story centers on a high school reunion committee chairman (Jack Black), who is still struggling for acceptance following his high school days. He sets off on a journey to Los Angeles to try and convince his most popular classmate (James Marsden), a failed actor now working in commercials, to attend their 20 year reunion. Mike White, who wrote the screenplay, co-stars as the man who was Jack Black's character's only friend in high school. Nat Faxon is in negotiations to join the cast in an unspecified role.

Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel are attached to make their directorial debuts. They both wrote the 2008 Jim Carrey comedy Yes Man, and co-created the short-lived Fox animated series Allen Gregory with Jonah Hill.

Star Wars: Episode VII Will Shoot from May Through September

Star Wars: Episode VII is set to begin shooting in mid-May, confirms Hitfix.

This news comes from highly trusted sources close to the production that reveal the shoot will run through the end of September. They also confirm that most of the principle casting on the J.J. Abrams sequel is now complete. Expect announcements to start any day.

J.J. Abrams confirmed in late January that shooting is set to begin in May, though an official day has not yet been announced. No story details have been released at this time, and it's unclear if LucasFilm will reveal any when the first casting press release is sent out. It is unlikely that any solid details will be revealed aside from actor's names and possibly the roles they are taking on.

Rabbids Movie Coming from Sony and Ubisoft

Today, Ubisoft and Sony Pictures Entertainment announced that the studios are partnering to develop a full-length feature film based on Rabbids, the irreverent, wacky characters from the popular TV series and video games.

Jean-Julien Baronnet, Executive Director, Ubisoft Motion Pictures, offered this comment on the deal.

"Sony Pictures has tremendous experience developing hybrid live-action-and-animated blockbusters for audiences around the world, which makes them a natural fit for what we want to achieve with a Rabbids film. This deal deepens our partnership with Sony Pictures and highlights our holistic approach to bringing Ubisoft's brands to new audiences while still maintaining the brands' creative integrity."

Hannah Minghella, president of Production for Columbia Pictures, had this to say in her statement.

Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer Is Classified and Coming Soon

The first trailer for Marvel's highly-anticipated Phase Two sequel Guardians of the Galaxy will likely debut in the next couple of weeks, now that the trailer has been classified and given a PG rating by the Alberta Film Ratings Board earlier today. Marvel hasn't confirmed a release date for the trailer, but normally after a trailer is rated, it debuts in theaters or online within a week or two. The trailer runs 2 minutes and 23 seconds, and just because the trailer has been rated PG, doesn't mean the movie itself will be given a PG rating. It will likely be rating PG-13 just like all the Marvel movies before it.

The first trailer was rumored to debut during Super Bowl Xlviii last week, until director James Gunn revealed that wasn't happening, though teasing "something incredibly awesome" is coming soon.

There has been much speculation that Avengers: Age of Ultron will be using Johannesburg, South Africa as the fictional African country of Wakanda, homeland of T'Challa, but a new report indicates that Johannesburg will be used as itself in the first ten minutes of the sequel.

Sa Breaking News reports that parts of the city's Central Business District will be closed for filming throughout this week, with production starting on February 11. The most telling part of this report is that these Johannesburg scenes will be used to portray the actual city itself, a rarity in Hollywood, according to Gauteng Film Commission's Desmond Mthembu.

Transporter Reboot Gets Game of Thrones Star Ed Skrein

British actor Ed Skrein, best known for playing Daario Naharis on HBO's Game of Thrones, has been set to star as Frank Martin in EuropaCorp's Transporter reboot.

Jason Statham played Frank Martin, a highly-trained driver who transports goods with no questions asked, in 2002's The Transporter and its sequels The Transporter 2 and Transporter 3. The reboot will take the story back to the original Transporter's setting of the French Riviera. The story will give more depth to Frank Martin's character, exploring his relationship with his father, a role which EuropaCorp is eyeing for a prominent actor.
