The Astronaut Wives Club: ABC Orders New Summer Series

Mistresses is getting some company on ABC. The alphabet network has ordered another original dramatic series for next summer -- The Astronaut Wives Club. There will be 10 episodes.

The Astronaut Wives Club is based on the best-selling novel of the same name by Lily Koppel. It takes place in the 1960s and focuses on the young wives of America's Mercury Seven astronauts.

The show will likely be billed as a special event series but could potentially continue beyond that.

Anger Management: Season Two Ratings

Will the ratings for Anger Management improve in season two or, will they fall even lower than they did in season one? We'll have to wait and see.

Revolving around an anger management therapist (Charlie Sheen) who has issues of his own, the cast also includes Selma Blair, Shawnee Smith, Daniela Bobadilla, Michael Arden, Noureen DeWulf, Derek Richardson, and Martin Sheen. The second season airs Thursday nights on FX.

The comedy's ratings are typically the best way to tell if Anger Management would be cancelled or renewed for another season however, 90 episodes were ordered for season two as part of a syndication deal. Those will last for awhile and may or may not be the end anyway.

The X Factor: Cancelled by Fox Following Simon Cowell Departure

Fox has decided to cancel the Us version of The X Factor. The talent competition has been sagging in the ratings and was never the success that Fox was hoping for. However, it seemed like Fox was still intending to bring it back in some form next fall.

Simon Cowell has now decided to return to the UK version so wouldn't be available to be a judge in the Us. For this reason, Fox says they are cancelling the show, ending a 12 year relationship with Cowell.

Rake: Season One Ratings

Greg Kinnear has found critical and box office success in movies but that's no guarantee that his Rake TV series will be a ratings hit for Fox. Will it be renewed for a second season or will it be cancelled instead? We'll have to wait and see.
