Dor L'Dor at 413 Washington Street will be featured on ABC tonight.

ABC is back performing their little sociological tests in Hoboken.

"What Would You Do" will air tonight at 10:30; tonight's show is about child shoplifters -- specifically, if you see a child shoplifting in Hoboken, what would you do?

ABC filmed a child actor shopliting in Hoboken boutique Dor L'Dor. Filmed in early December, customers watched as a little girl pocketed a hat, gloves and other items from the trendy women's clothing store.

And how did people react?

"A few came to us, a few ignored it and a few were oblivious to it," said Dor L'Dor owner Joseph Dejamal, 46. If customers said something (or if they didn't), ABC's John Quinones and camera crews jumped out of a hiding spot and asked them to explain their choice of action.

How did ABC choose his store?

"They said they liked the store," said Dejamal. " I think they chose Hoboken because it's quaint and it's easier than working in Manhattan."

Last year, ABC filmed another "What Would You Do?" segment about a lost child in front of the McDonald's in Hoboken; producers wanted to see if anyone would stop and try to help the child.

Dejamal welcomes the publicity. "I'm a new store in town and any publicity is always good -- especially on national TV!"

Dejamal also owns another Dor L'Dor in lower Manhattan. With the exception of the staged ABC incident, he said shoplifting is not a big problem in the Hoboken location.

"Shoplifting is definitely a concern, but thank God, Hoboken is not a bad shoplifting city," he said today. "We're not finding a lot of missing merchandise here; it's a bigger problem in New York City."

But --

"Shoplifting is a big problem for stores. Most stores have an average of 1.5 to 2 percent of sales that get stolen. If they start stealing five percent of your store , it could put you out of business," said Dejamal.
