34th Annual Black Maria Film Festival

Hoboken hosts one of the first public screenings of the 34th Annual Black Maria Film and Video Festival, a New Jersey-based international competition that is a qualifying festival for the Oscars. The evening will focus on documentaries, with special guest Ross Nugent, filmmaker of "Steel Mill Rolling." Refreshments will be served.
Admission is $10
"There's a Here Here," Poetry About Place

On Sunday, February 8, at 3pm, the Hoboken Historical Museum will host a performance of poetry inspired by a sense of place and written by selected Hoboken-area high school students and their teachers. Admission is free, and light refreshments will be served.

Stevens Talk: Lee Vinsel, "How Should We Remember the Stevens Family?"

In conjunction with the exhibition, "The Extraordinary Stevens Family, A New Jersey Legacy: 1776 - 1911," the Museum has invited noted scholars and authors to address various aspects of the Stevens family's legacy. Dr. Lee Vinsel, professor of history at Stevens Institute of Technology, will discuss "How Should We Remember the Stevens Family?"
Admission is $10, $5 for Hoboken Museum members
