The AfDB's E-Consultation on its Second Review of the Independent Review Mechanism - Have your Say!

As part of the ongoing Second Review of the Independent Review Mechanism (IRM) of the Bank Group, a public consultation period was opened from 1 July, 2014 to 30 August, 2014. Civil society organizations and other stakeholders had the opportunity to submit their comments on the draft recommendations prepared by the independent Consultant who is undertaking the review. The summary of these comments with the Consultants responses to each of the comment is attached.

We wish to thank all those who responded positively to our invitation for comments and are pleased to make available to the public the revised full report of the Consultant (attached) that has been finalized in light of the comments received. This full report comprising the Consultant’s Report, the proposed amendments to the Resolution that established the IRM and the Operating Rules and Procedures of the IRM, is being submitted to the Boards for consideration. The summary of comments from the public consultation with the Consultants’ responses will also be part of the documentation to the Boards.
