The Research Administration organization at Caltech provides a full range of central administration services in support of the Caltech faculty and their sponsored research programs. The Research Administration organization work closely with the Post Award Administration Office under the Associate Vice President for Finance, as well as faculty, grant managers, Division Administrators, the Office of Research Compliance and others to assure effective compliance with Institute and sponsor requirements.
The Research Administration organization is headed by Richard Seligman, Associate Vice President for Research Administration, and reports to the Vice President for Business and Finance.
Research Administration includes the following departments:
The Post Award Administration Office, formerly Project Accounting, has moved from Research Administration to the Office of Financial Services.

Pilot Program for Enhancement of Employee Whistleblower Protection
The Federal government has enacted a pilot program aimed at enhancing and expanding protections for employees against reprisals for whistleblowing activities related to federal grants and contracts. The pilot program runs through January 1, 2017.
