Mangaluru: Muhurtam held for Frank Fernandes' new Konkani movie

Mangaluru, Oct 30: Frank Fernandes, Thottam, a well-known multi-lingual cinema producer, along with his production house 'Movies International Cinema' launched his upcoming Konkani film 'Ek Aslyar Ek Na' at Holy Rosary Church, Alangar near here on October 27.

The inaugural prayer was led by Fr Basil Vas who wished the team every success. Felix D'Souza Taccode, politician, handed over the script to symobolically mark the launch of the movie.

Frank Fernandes, as he rolled the camera, assured his wholehearted support to the entire production/casting team. He also introduced the director of the movie Pradeep Barboza, the actors and the technical team who were present on the occasion. Film producer Shivanna, Praveen Thokkottu, and Rons Rodrigues from London were also present.

Production/Casting team:

Having produced movies in Kannada, Konkani and Tulu languages, 'Ferns Movies International' a tri-lingual production house is on its way to produce a high budget Konkani comedy thriller movie.

Noted dramatist Pradeep Barboza has directed the movie, written the story, script as well as the dialogues for the movie, and will also be featuring in the lead role. Multi-talented singer and anchor Priya Menezes in the female lead will also be one of the main attractions of the movie.

D Shashikumar, an acclaimed name, is the cinematographer, while Sujith Nayak the editor, and Rajesh Kudla the production manager. The movie will be co-directed by Kishore Moodbidri and Stany Bela. Wilson Kateel has penned his sentimental lyrics for the songs while Rajesh Bramhavar, Akul, Girish and team have choreographed. Mass Maada is the action director.

The movie will be shot in famous destinations including Moodbidri, Udupi, Padubidri and Madikeri. The shooting is scheduled to wind up over the next 30 days. The official release of the movie is expected to be in May 2016.
