R. & S. Garrard & Co., 1858
Diamonds, silver, gold
4.5 × 1.8 cm; 4.5 × 1.6 cm
Like the Coronation Necklace, these diamond drop earrings were worn at the successive coronations of Queen Mary, Queen Elizabeth and Her Majesty The Queen.
The earrings were made by R. & S. Garrard & Co. in 1858 for
Queen Victoria and consist of four cushion-cut colletset diamonds, taken from an existing aigrette and Garter Star, and two drop-shaped pendants (of approximately 12 and 7 carats).
The drop pendants were originally set as the side stones of the Indian armlet setting of the Koh-i-nûr.
