Early Voting at City Hall


Absentee (early) Voting in the State of Maine Room begins the week of October 11th, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM Monday-Friday. Absentee voting ends on Thursday, November 3rd, 2016. On November 3 only, voting will remain open until 7:00 PM.

If you would like to request an Absentee Ballot for the November 8th, 2016 General Election and you are already a registered voter in the City of Portland, you may do so online here.

Register to Vote


If you would like to register to vote you may do so at the City Clerk’s Office in Room 203 here in City Hall. Portland residents may also register to vote on election day at their polling location. 

 

The Department of City Clerk has three major functions:

Elections, Vital Records, and Custodian of the City Council Minutes.
