The National Popular Vote bill would guarantee the Presidency to the candidate who receives the most popular votes in all 50 states and DC.
As of March 28, 2018, the National Popular Vote bill has been enacted into law by states with 184 electoral votes, including New York. The bill will take effect when identical laws are enacted by states possessing 86 more electoral votes. Because opponents continually try to get states such as New York to repeal the law, please tell your state legislators to continue to their support of the National Popular Vote law in New York.
