Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security

The Scowcroft Center continues the Council's long-standing focus on NATO and the transatlantic partnership, while also studying 'over the horizon' regional and functional security challenges to the United States, its allies, and partners.

The Scowcroft Center works collaboratively with the Council's other regional and functional programs to produce analysis with a global perspective. The Center will honor General Brent Scowcroft’s legacy of service and embody his ethos of non-partisan commitment to the cause of international security, support for US international leadership in cooperation with allies and partners, and legacy of mentorship to the next generation of leaders.

Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East

The Atlantic Council's Rafik Hariri Center for the Middle East brings North American and European voices together with experts from the Middle East, fostering a policy relevant dialogue about the future of the region at a historic moment of political transformation. The Hariri Center provides objective analysis and innovative policy recommendations regarding political, economic, and social change in the Arab countries, and creates communities of influence around critical issues.

Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center

The Atlantic Council officially launched its Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center at its Distinguished Leadership Awards dinner on May 1, 2013. Founded with a $5 million gift from top philanthropist and business leader Adrienne Arsht, the Center will forge a new partnership among Latin America, North America, and Europe based on common values and shared interests. The Arsht Center will be the first organization of its kind dedicated to strengthening this trilateral partnership. Using original research, analysis, and engagement with policymakers, media, and corporate and civil society leaders, the Arsht Center will examine priority issues that highlight Latin America as both a strategic and economic partner of North America and Europe, including, among others: trade and investment, natural resources and energy, security, democracy and human rights, and developing human capital and entrepreneurship.

Adrienne Arsht Center for Resilience

In a period of tremendous global change, the Adrienne Arsht Center for Resilience works to build resilience – the ability to prepare for, absorb, and recover from potential challenges – into our societies and our systems. We develop pragmatic recommendations to put ideas into practice – helping governments, cities, businesses and other leaders to identify and address challenges before they become crises.

Eurasia Center

The Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center fosters dialogue among regional leaders, as well with counterparts from key neighbors and global leaders. Combining in-depth understanding of Eurasia's history with expertise on politics, economics and energy, the Center provides distinctive research and advice to governments and businesses worldwide. It seeks to promote an agenda of regional cooperation and integration based on shared values and common interest in a free, prosperous, and peaceful future. The Center’s collaborative approach aims to catalyze local, regional, and global strategies to address economic growth, deal more effectively with political issues, and bring about energy development and trade in ways that reinforce economic and political well-being.

South Asia Center

The South Asia Center serves as the Atlantic Council's focal point for work on greater South Asia as well as its relations between these countries, the neighboring regions, Europe, and the United States. It seeks to foster partnerships with key institutions in the region to establish itself as a forum for dialogue between decision-makers in South Asia, the United States, and NATO, and continues to “wage peace” in the region. These deliberations cover internal and external security, governance, trade, economic development, education, and other issues. The Center remains committed to working with stakeholders from the region itself, in addition to partners and experts in the United States and Europe to offer comprehensive analyses and practicable recommendations for policymakers.

Africa Center

The mission of the Atlantic Council's Africa Center is to promote dynamic geopolitical partnerships with African states and to shape US and European policy priorities to strengthen security and promote economic growth and prosperity on the continent.

The Center assists policy makers in addressing the complex political and security challenges facing Africa. Within the context of the Atlantic Council's work to promote constructive US leadership and engagement in international affairs, the Center supports and collaborates with the public and private sectors in forging practical solutions to challenges and opportunities–particularly economic opportunities–in Africa.

Millennium Leadership Program

Building on our fifty-three year history of convening exceptional next generation leaders, the Atlantic Council launched the Millennium Fellowship to connect and empower rising leaders who will shape the twenty-first century. Through this unique two-year program, fellows will join a network of outstanding peers from around the world, have unparalleled opportunities to engage at flagship Atlantic Council events, learn directly from top experts and world leaders, and collaborate on projects with global impact. The fellowship is a central pillar of the Council's mission to promote constructive leadership and build enduring relationships capable of addressing shared global challenges.

Global Business & Economics

The Global Business and Economics Program works to build upon and strengthen the already deep economic integration between Europe and the United States as well as promote transatlantic leadership in the global economy. Bringing together top business leaders, government policy makers, and economic experts, the program explores transatlantic and global issues of importance to the US and European business community. Our aim is to identify areas for cooperation as well as convergence in policy in an effort to promote an open and mutually beneficial environment for transatlantic business and trade.

Global Energy Center

At a time of unprecedented volatility and opportunity, the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center will work to promote global access to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy.

Alongside government, industry, and civil society partners, the Center will devise creative responses to energy-related geopolitical conflicts, advance sustainable energy solutions, and identify trends to help develop energy strategies and policies that ensure long-term prosperity and security.

Future Europe Initiative 

The Future Europe Initiative promotes dialogue on major issues affecting the transatlantic partnership and the ability of the United States and Europe to respond to global challenges, particularly as the European Union becomes an influential player on the global stage. The initiative develops recommendations for greater transatlantic cooperation in several areas.
