The Gerontological Society of America

The Gerontological Society of America (GSA) was founded in 1945 to promote the scientific study of aging, to encourage exchanges among researchers and practitioners from the various disciplines related to gerontology, and to foster the use of gerontological research in forming public policy. The organization fosters collaboration between physicians, nurses, biologists, behavioral and social scientists, psychologists, social workers, economists, policy experts, those who study the humanities and arts, and many other scholars and researchers in aging. Through networking and mentorship opportunities, GSA provides a professional "home" for 5,500 career gerontologists and students at all levels. For more information about GSA, visit geron.org.
