Terry Rawlings, who received an Oscar nomination for best picture winner Chariots of Fire and edited the Ridley Scott films Alien, Blade Runner and Legend, has died. He was 85 or 86.

Rawlings died Tuesday at his home in Hertfordshire, England, the Guild of British Film and Television Editors told The Hollywood Reporter.

The London native also cut Barbra Streisand's and David Fincher's directorial debuts on Yentl (1983) and Alien 3 (1992), respectively, and worked on Pierce Brosnan's first outing as James Bond with GoldenEye (1995).

Hannelore Elsner, a German actress who moved easily between art house cinema and mainstream television without losing her edge, or her army of local fans, has died. She was 76.

Matthias Prinz, a lawyer for the family, confirmed Elsner died peacefully on Sunday after a short and sudden illness.

Steve Golin, the founder and CEO of Anonymous Content and co-founder and former CEO of Propaganda Films, passed away peacefully late Sunday night in Los Angeles. The revered film and TV producer, who won the 2016 Best Picture Oscar for Spotlight, was 64. Golin was a cancer survivor but the cause of his death has not been disclosed at this time. His loss will be felt far and wide within the business.

J.R.R. Tolkien’s family is making it clear that they do not support an upcoming biopic starring Nicholas Hoult as the legendary author.

The Dome Karukoski-directed Tolkien, which chronicles The Lord of the Rings author’s formative years at school, is set for release next month.

But Tolkien’s estate issued a searing statement Tuesday declaring they had no part in making the film, and do not “endorse it or its content in any way.”

Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince Harry made their annual appearance at Easter church service on Sunday morning. Among the many emotional things that happen in the second episode of Game of Thrones season eight, one of the most charged moments comes right after Lady Brienne becomes Ser Brienne, a Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, thanks to a ceremony performed by Jaime Lannister.

Gathering together on what, for many of our favorite characters, will likely be the last night of their lives, Tyrion asks the group sitting before him if anyone knows a song. The camera pans to Davos, Brienne, and Tormund, and back to Tyrion, before Podrick Payne starts singing a haunting tune, "Jenny of Oldstones." And damn, if I wasn't as taken aback in that moment as Tyrion is that the young squire has had that set of pipes on him all along!
