Parma have asked about Manchester United full back Matteo Darmian.

The 29-year old is eager to return to Italy and has had interest from a number of clubs in Serie A.

Darmian was frequently left out of United's matchday squad last season and hasn't played since the defeat by Manchester City in April.

Signed from Torino in 2015, Darmian has made 92 appearances for United.

The right-back won the FA Cup with United in 2016 and the Europa League the following year. 

A host of high-profile players have left United this summer, with Ander Herrera, Antonio Valencia and Romelu Lukaku all departing permanently, while Alexis Sanchez has joined Inter Milan on loan.
