GREAT LAKES THEATER IS GRANTING ONE YOUNG ACTOR’S SPECIAL WISH DURING THIS SEASON’S A CHRISTMAS CAROL

(Cleveland, OH) - Great Lakes Theater (GLT) is creating even more magic this holiday season by granting the wish of one remarkable young actor during A Christmas Carol. A Special Wish Cleveland contacted Great Lakes Theater earlier this year to help make one wish recipient’s desire of being an actor come true. Excited to make this dream a reality, everyone at GLT jumped in to make it possible to have Amelia, the special wish recipient, as part of the cast in our upcoming production of A Christmas Carol.

OVER FIFTEEN LOCAL CHOIRS WILL SING BEFORE PERFORMANCES OF A CHRISTMAS CAROL

(Cleveland, OH) - Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will shine the spotlight on a different Northeast Ohio choir 30 minutes prior to each performance of A Christmas Carol. The sounds of the season can be enjoyed by audience members from within the Mimi Ohio Theatre as over 430 individuals from 16 Northeast Ohio choirs perform holiday classics.
 
Choirs will perform pre-show according to the following schedule:

·         Friday, November 29 - The Men of Independence
·         Saturday, November 30 (matinée) - St. Joseph Parish Choir
·         Saturday, November 30 (evening) - The Singing Angels         
·         Sunday, December 1 - Divine Word Choir & Friends
·         Thursday, December 5 - Constellation Schools Old Brooklyn Honors Choir
·         Friday, December 6 - Constellation Schools Parma Community High Concert Choir

Great Lakes Theater's Production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL Returns to Playhouse Square for 31st Year

CLEVELAND, OH - The stage of the Mimi Ohio Theatre, Playhouse Square will glow with good spirits and time-honored tradition when Great Lakes Theater (GLT) presents its 31st anniversary production of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, running November 29 – December 22, 2019. The production has delighted more than 750,000 people in its history, making it one of northeast Ohio’s most-loved and best-attended holiday events.

THE MUSIC MAN and JULIUS CAESAR Launch Great Lakes Theater's 2019-20 Season

CLEVELAND, OH (August 20, 2019) - Great Lakes Theater (GLT) will commence its 2019-20 season at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square with a Fall Repertory that features the Tony-winning Broadway musical classic, The Music Man and Shakespeare’s epic political tragedy, Julius Caesar. The productions will be performed in rotating repertory September 27 – November 10, 2019. Victoria Bussert will direct The Music Man and Julius Caesar will be directed by Sara Bruner. The Music Man (Book, Music and Lyrics by Meredith Willson / Story by Meredith Willson and Franklin Lacey) is presented through special arrangement with MUSIC THEATRE INTERNATIONAL (MTI). Cleveland's Classic Company at the Hanna Theater presents a Tony-Winning Rock 'n' Roll Tribute MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET.

CLEVELAND, OH - Great Lakes Theater (GLT), Cleveland’s Classic Company, concludes its 2018-19 season with the Tony-winning rock ‘n’ roll tribute, Million Dollar Quartet. The production will be performed in the company’s intimate home at the Hanna Theatre, Playhouse Square, May 3-26, 2019. GLT’s production of Million Dollar Quartet will feature a number of Broadway actors from shows such as Monty Python’s Spamalot, Hello Dolly!, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Anything Goes and more playing the iconic quartet and supporting roles. Tony-Winning Broadway star, Hunter Foster, directs.
