American mayonnaise brand, Hellmann’s, is expanding its presence in Australian supermarkets.

Hellmann’s is now selling 400g mayonnaise squeeze bottles alongside a 400g jar option. A ‘light’ version of its mayonnaise is also now be available in 400g squeeze bottles.

Former MasterChef contestant, Hayden Quinn, will help promote Hellmann’s in Australia and has created five recipes using Hellmann’s mayonnaise

Hellmann’s mayonnaise had its start when Richard Hellmann migrated from Germany to New York and began selling mayonnaise out of his delicatessen. His mayonnaise quickly became popular and he began selling it in bulk to other stores.

The Botany Group is managing the importing and distribution of Hellmann’s in Australia in partnership with Unilever.

“We believe the opportunity for Hellmann’s in Australia is enormous and we’re very excited to be partnering with the Unilever team to achieve the significant targets we have set,” said the Chief Executive Officer of the Botany Group, Anthony Manassen.

Recommended retail prices for Hellmann’s Mayonnaise start at AUD $6.19. Hellmann’s products are available from Woolworths supermarkets.
