A Statement From NYC Libraries:
During this unprecedented, challenging moment, the City’s public libraries continue to provide New Yorkers with critical resources they need, including job search help, Census information, e-books, and remote learning support for children and parents.
As we all move into an uncertain future, one thing we know is that libraries will play a key role in strengthening and repairing our city.
We are so appreciative of Mayor de Blasio’s executive budget, which maintains baseline funding for libraries, and reinforces their crucial role in offering opportunities to students, parents, job hunters, immigrants, seniors, and all New Yorkers.
While there is still a long road ahead for us all, we are committed to being there for the public every step of the way.
