Jon joined Junior Library Guild as Director of Sales in 2016. Beyond sales leadership, Jon brings experience in sales enablement, technology, recruiting, and project management. His prior position was Head of Sales for Ecommerce.com where for 8 years he started and led the quickly growing global sales of cloud computing and IT services, eventually helping the startup get acquired by a Fortune 500 IT firm. Prior to Ecommerce, he worked in state government sales for AT&T Mobility.  

Gary joined MSI Information Services as Chief Financial Officer in 2018. He has broad experience as a finance executive for growth companies in the education and technology industries. Prior to joining MSI Gary was the interim CFO for a global edtech company where he assisted the management team in the successful private equity carve-out of the company from its parent. Before that he was the CFO of Think Through Learning, where he provided financial leadership through a period of rapid growth, culminating in the successful acquisition of the company by a strategic buyer. Early in his career, Gary served in the Assurance practice of PricewaterhouseCoopers. Gary graduated from Mount Saint Mary’s University and earned his MBA from Robert Morris University. He is a Certified Public Accountant

Tracey joined Media Source, Inc. in 2017 as Vice President, Events and Professional Development for Media Source’s information businesses, including Library Journal, School Library Journal and The Horn Book. She brings over 20 years of experience in event production and management; professional development; community building; content solutions development and sales, and marketing, business and product strategy. Previously, she was the Head of Custom Media, Events and Strategic Partnerships at Institutional Investor, Director of Memberships, Sponsorships and Business Development at the International Trademark Association and the Massachusetts Interactive Media Council, and Sr. Sales and Business Development roles at Reciprocal, Copyright Clearance Center and Lawyers Weekly Media. Tracey graduated from Salem State University.

Kathy Ishizuka is Editor in Chief of School Library Journal and Partnerships & Innovation Director, Library Journal and SLJ. Previously, she was Executive Editor and Executive Editor of Technology & Digital Projects at SLJ. Ishizuka has served on the board of trustees of the Freedom to Read Foundation and the board of the National Forum on Libraries & Teens. In 2019, she was named among FOLIO's Top Women in Media.

A member of the Asian American Journalists Association and the Society of Professional Journalists, Ishizuka is a graduate of AAJA’s Executive Leadership Program. She has a BFA from New York University.

Sean provides leadership to the sales team at Junior Library Guild. His prior position was Vice President of Sales at World Book, Inc. in Chicago, IL where he lead the combined domestic and international sales teams in the school, public library and consumer market segments and supervised the Digital Products Development team. Prior to World Book, Lockwood was the Director of New Business Development and a Regional Sales Manager with QSP, a division of Time, Inc. He is a graduate of Concordia College in Moorhead, MN.

Tara joined MSI Information Services as Human Resource Manager in 2013 and was promoted to Director of Human Resources in 2017. As a solid HR business partner, she brings over 20 years of HR experience. Tara’s specialties include strategic planning, total rewards development and administration, compensation strategies and management, organizational coaching at all levels and mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Tara was the Director of Human Resources at Commercial Works and owner of a HR consulting company, TIB Group, LLC. Tara holds two HR certifications: SPHR, Senior Professional in Human Resources and SHRM-SCP, Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional. Tara is a graduate of the University of Dayton.

Susan has worked at the JLG for 23 years. The sixth Editorial Director since the Company’s founding in 1929, Susan is responsible for the title selection of children’s and young adult trade titles each year for the JLG collection development service, with chief considerations including quality, unit price, availability and publication dates. In 2013 alone, JLG selections won 21 awards from the American Library Association, as well numerous other prestigious awards. A former teacher, Susan holds a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College and a MEd from Cabrini College.

Rebecca has 19 years of editorial experience, and was named Editorial Director in 2013. Her deep background in libraries dates to 1998 when she joined the book review staff of the Library Journal. In the intervening years, serving as Executive Editor for LJ and subsequently Editor-in-Chief of School Library Journal, she helped launch several new products, including Criticas magazine and Library By Design, as well as driving the evolution of the content strategy of these two key brands through the development of digital outlets, original research, and the development of virtual and face to face events and professional development initiatives. Prior to joining Media Source, she worked at Utne Reader. She also served on the board of the National Book Critics Circle for six years, two as President. She has a BA from DePauw University and an MSLIS from Pratt Institute.

Meredith has 22 years of editorial experience, eight of them at Library Journal; she was named Editor-in-Chief in January 2020. After years of reviewing for LJ, she joined the staff in 2012 as news editor, then served as senior editor and executive editor before taking on her current role. She has helped design and launch the Jerry Kline Community Impact Prize, as well as spearheading development of original research, face to face events, and shepherding the evolving content strategy. She has a BA from Barnard College, Columbia University.

Roger Sutton has been Editor in Chief at the Horn Book since 1996. Previously the editor of The Bulletin of the Center for Children’s Books and a children’s and young adult librarian, Roger has an M.A. From the Graduate Library School, University of Chicago. For young people, he is the author of Hearing Us Out: Voices from the Gay and Lesbian Community (an ALA Best Book for Young Adults); and, with Horn Book executive editor Martha V. Parravano, the author of A Family of Readers: The Book Lover’s Guide to Children’s and Young Adult Literature. Roger has served as a judge for the Newbery, Caldecott, National Book Award and the New York Times Best Illustrated Books and is the recipient of several EDPRESS awards for contributions to School Library Journal and the Horn Book Magazine.
