Airbus Services, in collaboration with the entire supply chain, is committed to design and deliver efficient initiatives with the best environmental performance possible, while not compromising your operational efficiency.
Optimizing fuel consumption will not only allow you to decrease your fuel costs but also to boost decarbonisation, today a major challenge for all operators. The willingness to reduce the fuel consumption has the power to address two major expectations: climate and costs.
Airbus services is offering a wide range of Upgrades to address these challenges like Descent Profile Optimization | DPO services, updating the Flight Management System to optimise programmed descent profiles on A320 CEO and A330 CEO aircraft, Air Management Function | AMF, a software modification on A330 CEO aircraft to adjust the cabin airflow based on the load factor or major upgrades like Sharklets retrofit.Â
At any stage of the efficiency journey, NAVBLUE* an Airbus company can provide Fuel & Flight efficiency consulting services to identify fuel savings opportunities to implement or boost the airline’s fuel savings program with dedicated coaching. NAVBLUE also provides a dedicated awareness training to share quick wins and return on experience. Operators can benefit from big data analytics with MONITOR, a multi-fleet solution combining advisory expertise and the fuel monitoring software, SkyBreathe® to track, monitor and report their fuel savings initiatives. The dedicated pilot application, MyFuelCoach™, allows each pilot to monitor his own achievement and therefore, increase the contribution of the pilot community towards an environmental friendly eco-flying. OPTIMIZE, a suite of digital solutions powered by Skywise, complements the MONITOR solution by focusing on the aircraft performance optimization for each aircraft. Performance varies over the life of all in-service aircraft, leading to slightly higher fuel consumption levels as an aircraft ages, therefore it is important to calculate and regularly update both performance and idle factors.
NAVBLUE Airspace design solutions improve traffic flow with corresponding reductions of track miles, holding, level off, noise and environmental impact (ex: RNP-AR procedures).

Demand on collaboration around environmental challenges to support airlines has increased over the past year: Airlines perceive the interest of collaborating with Airbus to support their environmental strategy. For example regular events are organised by Airbus with the Airlines - the yearly Fuel Efficiency Forums - to foster exchanges and work together to address the reduction of carbon emissions of this ecosystem (together with Air Navigation Services Providers, Airports, Suppliers…).
