Airbus continues to expand its portfolio of products supporting the future of space exploration with the delivery of two new H135 helicopters to the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) from the Airbus Helicopters, Inc. production and completion facility in Columbus, Mississippi.

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has signed a $15 million HCare Infinite full-availability support solution with Airbus Helicopters, Inc.

Corail Helicopters Mauritius’ H130 transported more than 100 tonnes of equipment and participated in removing at least 50 tonnes of crude oil.

On 25 July 2020, the Japanese bulk carrier Wakashio ran aground on a coral reef in Mauritius. In the weeks that followed, the ship began leaking oil, and broke apart in mid August.

Once a tourist and passenger flight helicopter, Corail Helicopters Mauritius equipped their H130 with a hook and sling, transforming it instantly into a high-performance aerial work platform.

In the first days after the accident, the H130 transported equipment – pumps and generators – to the wrecked ship, the heaviest of which weight almost 1.2 tonnes.
