Global presence

Airbus sets the standard for customer support and services by adopting a collaborative approach with a wide range of operators. Providing around-the-clock care and customer service, every member of Airbus’ diverse and talented staff is determined to prove their value and expertise consistently.

Aviation companies are increasingly under pressure to optimise costs and improve operational efficiency. As a result, most operators are more and more focused on core activities and seeking a trusted partner to bring added value to their business with the most innovative solutions and advanced technologies available. Airbus Customer Services has listened to this market expectation and, leveraging full Airbus capabilities, is bringing the solution: “Airbus Services,” a complete portfolio of end-to-end lifecycle products and services.

Aircraft range

The extended-fuselage member of Airbus’ A330neo product line is the A330-900; for the A350 XWB jetliner, its longest-fuselage version is the A350-1000.

Airbus' mission is to provide the aircraft best suited to the market's needs and to support these aircraft with the highest quality of service. Its modern and comprehensive product line comprises highly successful families of aircraft ranging from 100 to more than 850 seats, with the newest addition to Airbus’ product line – the A220 Family – specifically designed for the 100-150 seat market.

The single-aisle A320 Family comes in A318, A319, A320 and A321 variants; with the introduction of the New Engine Option product line, the A319, A320 and A321 became even more fuel-efficient and eco-friendly through two new jet engine choices along with the use of Airbus’ fuel-saving Sharklets wingtip devices.

Airbus’ wide-body, long-range A330 Family (which includes the A330-200 freighter, the A330-based MRTT, as well as the A330-800 and A330-900 NEO versions) offers the most spacious cabin of any wide-body aircraft in its category, allowing for a range of cabin interior possibilities. The new-generation A350 XWB Family can be easily configured to operate both regional and ultra-long-haul routes, demonstrating unrivalled operational flexibility. The company’s flagship A380 double-deck jetliner is world’s largest and most spacious passenger aircraft.

Across the product line of fly-by-wire jetliners, Airbus’ unique approach ensures that its aircraft share the highest possible degree of commonality in on-board systems, cockpits and handling characteristics.

Global network

Airbus has a history of bringing together the best from different nations around the world. This proven track record is underscored by the company’s global network of some 7,700 suppliers, which are drawn from more than 20 countries to deliver components, parts, systems and hardware at the highest quality levels.

In addition, Airbus is committed to outsourcing larger work packages to suitable long-term partners and trusted Tier One suppliers. This allows for enhanced lean design and manufacturing for Airbus, along with increased industrial flexibility. After a careful selection process – including risk assessment – Airbus’ policy is to involve such partners and suppliers at the earliest possible joint development stage to foster a collaborative relationship.

Low-risk partnerships

In 1995, Airbus became the first aircraft manufacturer to create an operation dedicated to working with lessors.  These companies – including two of Airbus' largest customers, GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) and International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) – offer a low-risk option for airlines, allowing them to operate without the need for financing a fleet and providing flexibility to add or remove capacity as needed.

Lessors also represent low-risk customers for Airbus, as they are less susceptible to the cyclical nature of air travel due to their global presence.
