ASTRIX intertial measurement units /
IRU series

Astrix 1090

Within the Astrix 1000 series, the Astrix 1090 offers a simplified and compact architecture, with the accelerometer function option:

  • Specifically designed and certified for long-duration missions, with a power-on lifetime that exceeds 15 years
  • It can be used on satellites large and small, thanks to its modest volume and a power consumption of just 14 Watts
  • High inertial performance: high resolution and stability, very low noise from low to high frequency
Astrix 1000

Astrix 120

Very-high-performance FOG fibre optic inertial measurement unit for space multi-application purpose:

  • Four independent angular rate detection axes in a skewed configuration (ICU)
  • FOG materials compatible with optical payload
  • 28 satellites on orbit flying Astrix: 122 channels cumulating more
than 3 million hours ON (as of January 2020)
Astrix 120

Astrix 200

The best performing gyro on the world market:

  • Offers outstanding performance with 1 arcsec / hour class of accuracy noise from low to high frequencies
  • Four independent angular rate detection axes in a skewed configuration
  • FOG materials compatible with optical payloads
  • More than 15 years of continuous operation (no life limited item)
Astrix 200
Astrix NS

The new 3-axis fibre-optic gyroscope for space applications:

  • Based on FOG (fibre-optic gyro) technology
  • Mastered by iXblue and qualified by Airbus Defence and Space for over 20 years, Astrix NS addresses the new challenges of the space industry by bringing performance, compacity and reliability at a very competitive price
