A330neo: a true new generation aircraft

The A330neo is a true example of a highly-innovative aircraft that delivers superior quality and efficiency. As a member of Airbus’ family of wide-body jetliners, the A330neo benefits from continuous investment of over 150 million euro every year – integrating the latest developments from the A350 XWB and A380 Families to maintain its position as the best in its class, well ahead of its competition.

The A330neo is powered by high-bypass ratio, new generation engines and designed with an advanced high-span wing vastly improving the aerodynamics. New materials have also been used across the wing including titanium pylon and composite nacelle. All these features combined, ensures that the A330neo has the lowest seat-mile cost of any mid-size wide-body and burns 25% less fuel burn than the previous generation competitors.

Airspace

Equipped with an Airspace cabin, this aircraft delivers up to 10 extra seats while still considering and optimising passenger experience continuing Airbus’ commitment to creating the most comfortable cabin for passengers and crew. Everyone flying on an A330neo will be able to enjoy the extra personal space thanks to the wide-body cabin and 18-inch-wide seats.

Personalised in-flight entertainment options offer an array of choices and now full cabin connectivity allows passengers to stay in touch with the world below – whether it’s catching up on important emails or simply keeping social networks up to date. The A330neo is also the launch model for Airbus’ new customisable Airspace cabin interiors, taking comfort to the next level. The new cabin design gives passengers a totally unique and welcoming experience. From patterned ceiling light panels to innumerable colour-bursting LED mood effects, the options are endless.

It’s not only just passengers who benefit from Airbus’ innovations in comfort and design. Besides comfortable crew rest areas ensuring staff are refreshed during flight, cabin crew can also enjoy their work in an environment that has been optimised to make doing their job as efficient as possible with state-of-the-art galleys allowing easy preparation and service of in-flight meals, creating the best possible surroundings to look after passengers.

The A330 Family Lower Deck Cargo Compartments enable loading of a wide variety of freight using all industry-standard lower deck ULDs, including side-by-side LD3s. The lower deck characteristics provide a unique cargo configuration flexibility. A removeable LDMCR is also available as an option.

Popular and profitable

Capable of flying routes from 20mins to over 17 hours, the A330neo is a highly-efficient and versatile aircraft – flying the most frequencies of any wide-body. As Airbus’ entry-level wide-body it offers the lowest financial risk with the lowest seat mile cost of any wide-body in its category. It seamlessly complements the A350XWB, offering a similar passenger experience and – thanks to a Common Type Rating – pilots can fly both aircraft interchangeably. Boasting an Operational Reliability of 99.5%, this is an aircraft that consistently delivers.
