Airbus Customer Services

Serving Asia-Pacific

Located at Singapore’s Seletar Aerospace Park, the Airbus Asia Training Centre offers pilot type-rating and recurrent training courses for all in-production Airbus jetliner variants. It will have the capacity to offer courses for more than 10,000 trainees annually, becoming Airbus’ largest flight crew training facility when fully operational in 2019.

This joint-venture, owned 55 per cent by Airbus and 45 per cent by Singapore Airlines, is housed in a 9,250-square metre facility and developed with a $100 million (U.S.) investment in building and simulators. Its initial instructor base is drawn from the resources of Airbus and Singapore Airlines, with the facility’s employees growing to 50 instructors and 20 support staff by 2019.

The centre operates eight full-flight simulators for the A350 XWB, A380, A330 and A320. It is home to the largest number of simulators worldwide for Airbus’ next-generation A350 XWB jetliner.

To date, AATC has trained more than 600 A350 XWB flight crew members from 18 airlines in the Asia region, as well as from Europe and the Middle East. More than 50 airlines already have signed up for its comprehensive and customised training services across the Airbus jetliner product line.
