UH-72A Lakota Crew Preparing For Support Of Southwest Border Mission
The UH-72A Lakota aircraft equipped with EO/IR Sensors, hoists and other mission equipment support homeland defense, border protection and natural disaster relief missions. With an inventory of more than 210 aircraft in the U.S. National Guard, the Lakota plays a crucial role in the myriad aviation missions of the National Guard. The updated Mission Equipment Package (MEP) in the UH-72A Lakota provides increased capabilities in operations, ranging from counter drug support and law enforcement missions to search and rescue, reconnaissance and surveillance support. Lakota aircraft equipped with enhanced MEP provide first responders and law enforcement agencies with immediate situational awareness, command and control and real-time data transmissions and downlinks.

It is the U.S. version of the H145M for the U.S. Army, with more than 430 having been delivered on time, on quality and on cost.
