Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee
The Executive and Legislative Nominations Committee, members of which shall be the majority leader of the Senate or said leader's designee, the minority leader of the Senate or said leader's designee, four members of the Senate three of whom shall be appointed by the President Pro Tempore and one of whom shall be appointed by the minority leader, the majority leader of the House or said leader's designee, the minority leader of the House or said leader's designee, and fifteen members of the House, nine of whom shall be appointed by the Speaker and six of whom shall be appointed by the minority leader.
In addition, the cochairpersons and ranking members of the committee having cognizance of matters relating to the duties of a nominee for the position of a department head, as defined in section 4‑5 of the general statutes, shall be nonvoting, ex‑officio members of the committee on executive and legislative nominations for the consideration of such nomination.
All executive and legislative nominations requiring action of either or both chambers, except judicial nominations, nominations of workers' compensation commissioners and nominations of members of the Board of Pardons and Paroles, shall be referred to the committee on executive and legislative nominations.
