The world faces an unprecedented threat from COVID-19
The COVID-19 Pandemic is a global health crisis unlike any other — one that is spreading human suffering, destabilizing the global economy and upending the lives of billions of people around the globe. The UN in Sri Lanka is working with the Government and our partners to help to alleviate the health and socio-economic consequences of the pandemic
January 1, 2020 saw the launch of the UN75 initiative – the largest, most inclusive conversation on the role of global cooperation in building a better future for all. The initiative will see the UN spark dialogues throughout 2020 in diverse settings across the world.
