A Bill to ratify the Withdrawal Agreement, as agreed between the United Kingdom and the European Union, and implement the Agreements (EU, EEA EFTA and Swiss) in domestic law.

The EU (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill 2019 was introduced to the House of Commons and given its first reading on Monday 21 October 2019, the second reading took place on 22 October 2019 and we published a briefing at that stage. The Bill did not then progress before Parliament was dissolved for the UK General Election 2019.

This was replaced by the EU (Withdrawal Agreement) Bill 2019-20, which was introduced to the House of Commons and given its first reading on 29 December 2019.
