A second prize of £250 is kindly donated to the runners up by the Glasgow Bar Association, which has supported the tournament since 2006.
The Glasgow Bar Association is the representative body for the legal profession in the west of Scotland, although membership is open to all members of the legal profession throughout Scotland. Student membership is also available to those studying law, as long as their place of study or residence is within the territorial jurisdiction of Glasgow Sheriff Court. The Association promotes, represents and protects the rights and interests of its members in the practice law.

Preparing the background of the subject matter you are then presenting and the ability to react as a debate unfolds are key skills, which underpins the work we do. A £50 book token is awarded to the winner of best floor speech of the final, courtesy of the Scottish Law Agents Society.
The Scottish Law Agents Society is a Royal Charter company and voluntary organisation, which solely represents the solicitor profession nationally.
