If you see someone tossing around words like plandemic, you're not probably not dealing with someone with genuine concerns about government overreach, you're dealing with someone deep down the right wing conspiracy theorist rabbithole who'd actually be fine with crackdowns, as long as they're directed at their enemies. I've encountered plenty who had no objections to the brutal treatment of BLM protestors, antifascist counter protesters and police collusion with far right groups, all while squealing about government oppression because they were asked to wear a mask for the public good.
The UK's government have isolated it from the EU, where it could have used it's influence to make China think twice through the use of sanctions. Now they have no power, no leverage and they want trade deals so they won't say a peep about Hong Kong in exchange for one with china.
Also they're starting their own crackdown on democracy with anti protest laws, voter ID laws to deal with the single digit number of voter fraud cases, all that good stuff.
They can't get elected without Rupert's support, and Rupert was in danger of losing the ability to influence elections on their behalf as his old media empire shrinks and becomes less profitable, so one hand washed the other. Look for this being repeated in the UK and the US, next time america suffers a stroke and fills the hall of power with republicans.
The government wouldn't need to get into the broadband business if AT&T were willing to, but they're not, they just want to sit on existing infrastructure and tell others they can't build anything, while lapping up subsidies for services they don't provide in many cases.
Wonder how long it'll be before Rupert Murdoch, getting diminished revenue from Fox news as people cut the cord and stop subsidising it through cable bundling, turns to lobbying congress to pass laws forcing streaming services to have it's content forced on them and to pay him for the privilege? They'll try and sell it as supporting alternative voices in new media even though it'll only be right wing content that benefit.
Rupert Murdoch is also against socialism, while pushing for laws in Australia so more successful companies are forced by the government to give his media empire free money.
Rupert Murdoch is against socialised medicine, yet bolted to the UK the moment the Covid Vaccine was made available to his agegroup, shot to the head of the line thanks to his political connections, getting the vaccine before the Queen.
Rupert Murdoch is happy to push antivax BS, yet... See above.
Rupert Murdoch has built his fortune on decrying others as sex offenders and criminals while defending criminals and sex offenders if they make him money or agree with him politically and are still of use.
Rupert Murdoch is a hypocrite and a cancer on western civilisation. Decades after his death, we will still be working out the true extent of the damage his malignant influence has done to the world.
Republicans like Koby now support things being nationalised as they know when republicans next have control they can either pack them with lifetime political appointees, cripple their ability to regulate and do what they're meant to, or use them as a means to funnel money and influence towards their friends, family and donors, just look at what they did to the post office.
It's almost as though conservatives are heavily reliant astroturfing, on bots and people gaming broken algorithms on Youtube and Facebook to create the illusion of popularity.
The internet is a free market place, anyone can make a website but what you cannot do is force people to use it who do not want to, or have your personal desire to yell racism and lies at the largest possible audience override the rights of the owners of other websites to set their terms of service.
Websites exist where you can spout the kind of 'free speech' you value so dearly, 8Chan, 4Chan, Gab, Stormfront and so on, the problem is that the free market that conservatives like yourself so value, has ruled against the. People don't like racism, sexism, homophobia, antisemitism so their userbase never grows beyond a certain point, and that's something the right are aware of. You can't grow a userbase when new users are bombarded with unfiltered slurs and abuse, hence the right's ridiculous attacks on 'safe spaces' and trying to destroy the ability of sites to moderate their platforms.
The mainstream right and far right (not that there's much difference between the two these days) view appeals to the notion of fairness as a tool, nothing more than a means to get a foot in the door. Whenever they're in a position of power, they never hesitate to stack the deck against the left and silence voices they disagree with, see Joel Kaplan at Facebook, the NFL owners attacks on BLM protests, the bludgeoning of opposition to the war in Iraq and so on, things the likes of Koby are just fine with. The freedom of speech conservatives support is the freedom for them to say whatever hateful rubbish they please wherever they please, and the freedom of everyone else to either shut up or agree.
The CIA loves torture and has used it as a tool as long as the organisation has been a thing, they've happily trained people to do just that across Latin America since the cold war because god forbid the left ever take power there and make americans pay more for fruit. The only thing that changed is they started doing it themselves in a way that made it impossible to deny doing as the world began to pay more attention to what American forces were up to during the 'war on terror'. Their attempts to make it seem effective and necessary with shows like 24 didn't take.
Yeah, if I see another crypto being sold as 'One of the good ones' or 'Environmentally responsible' I'll scream. This still produces E-waste, still burns power as part of an inefficient database that exists to produce nothing but gambling tokens they may someday be able to exchange for money they can use in the real world, though they're more likely to be exit scammed. People can make all the claims of greenness they want, but these tokens still feed into an ecosystem that is most decidedly not green, not by any stretch of the imagination. It's just human greed finding new ways to make the world worse for others, while claiming it's all about the tech.

No worries, I wish we lived in a world where we didn't have to keep up with wingnut wordsalad.

Don't worry, a tinfoil hat and a few capsules of Brainforce plus will keep that nasty gubmint at bay.

Well, it is a fragrance the US invented to begin with, only now is it being released for domestic markets.

This is what you get when you structure your democracy so land counts as much as people: Senator Koby.

Ah, the friendly 'we don't like your kind round these parts' policing that small town America is world famous for.
American policing needs a complete reset on all levels.
