That doesn’t make sense to me. How could they patch an update to lock the ability to “just run” if they can’t patch it to have the safety update?

right... because a subscription will totally keep your child off the treadmill. i'm *totally* sure it's not because a subscription will cover their liability insurance cost. no, that would be evil...

Probably worse then you imagine— I suspect the terms and conditions you sign up for the subscription waives their liability for harming users entirely.

not even sure how this is legal in 2021...property licensing/ownership is an entire clusterfuck in this country...been doing a lot of legal research about property/ip licensing for work...this is a big deal...
