私は2015年7月26日のFuji Rock Festivalでトッド・ラングレンを観た。演奏した中の一曲が本作に含まれる“International Feel”である。外国で演奏するにふさわしい。

本作は1973年発表の4作目。“Onionhead”など全体的にユーモラスである。

カヴァー曲はトッドのルーツが見えて面白い。“I’m So Proud”はカーティス・メイフィールドの曲のカヴァー。ちなみにボズ・スキャッグスもカヴァーしている。他には“Ooh Baby Baby”（スモーキー・ロビンソン＆ミラクルズ）など。

（付記）Fuji Rockのステージには、トッドと、DJ／オペレーター、コーラス／ダンサーの女性二人の4人。トッドは昨年67歳だったが、見事に踊るのである！最近のダンス・ポップ（EDM）のアルバムの曲中心。晴天の下でのダンス・ミュージックは爽快である。アンコールまで全て観た。楽しめたし、ある種の感動を覚えて、帰る前にオフィシャル・グッズ・ショップで最新アルバム“Global”（サイン色紙付き）を土産に買った。
