As featured in East Village Inky #62, it’s 2020.
Covid-19 hits NYC, theaters close, Black Lives Matter, homemade masks, socially distanced Central Park, 4 seasons & far few people & bows than previous installments of Ayun’s annual year end video project.
I’m delighted to have contributed a 10-page comic, Andrew Cuomo’s Nipple Rings: An Oral History to The Flashpaper, a new theater journal that supports small time theater makers like me and The Indie Theater Fund (another small but mighty endeavor that has kept my ayuss afloat during these troubled times. MORE INFO HERE!)
Late last spring, I made a series of FREE-to-download posters promoting the sex appeal and public health benefits of masks and other face coverings. Also available in black and white, for your home-coloring pleasure. They’re meant to be displayed in close proximity to each other as duos or larger sets – a perfect example next to an imperfect example. Compare and contrast. Share em! Hang em up in spots where the unmasked and improperly masked might get the message…
Totally unnecessary, but if you do print and post, I’d love to see snapshots
Here’s a link to the folder that has em all.
As you may have noticed, I’ve been spending time on the wicked stage again, having dusted off the theater company the mister and I founded in 1999 for the original Off-Off-Broadway run of Urinetown.

I didn’t know my comic about the last play I saw in NYC would become my first comic about coronavirus in NYC. Read the whole thing on Book & Film Globe.
Here’s something good to emerge from self-isolation. It’s Madison Time. Hit it.
Hooray! A whole new decade!
And here’s a look back on the mayhem of 2017 and 2018, compliments of the ENTIRE STAFF of the East Village Inky!
Slowly but surely we’re getting some of good, good FREELANCE CONTENT up here for your reading (and hiring) pleasure. Click my head to peruse some clips.
