The Additive Construction Lab, which explores the use of additive manufacturing at construction, is a collaborative effort between the Colleges of Engineering and Arts and Architecture.

The Pitch Exploration Lab engages undergraduate and graduate students from colleges across the University Park campus in research related to singing accuracy and arts participation.

ForMat (Form and Matter) Lab is a research lab focused on computational making and material computation.

The Advanced Geometric Modeling Lab provides high-end machines to enable the development of advanced geometric models and rendered images of building and sites for visualization and presentation purposes.

The studios provide state-of-the-art facilities and equipment for students to receive training in recording techniques, electronic music composition, sound design, and general music technology topics. The studios also provide first-rate recording and mixing facilities for performance faculty and students to carry out recording projects with staff and student engineers.

This stunning 400-seat auditorium is the primary performance space for the School of Music's solo and chamber music performances, faculty and staff recitals, and the School's small ensembles. The hall also is home to two Hamburg Steinway concert grand pianos.

The Theatre Arts Production Studio (TAPS) features a large, state-of-the-art equipped scenic shop with adjacent properties shop and scenic paint studio.

The Penn State School of Theatre Lighting Lab is one of the most advanced and well-equipped labs of its kind in the country. The Light Lab serves as the primary classroom, lab, and research facility for the School of Theatre’s Lighting Design concentration.

The Visual Resources Centre (VRC) supports the faculty and students of the Department of Art History by fostering the use of new technologies and resources relevant to digital scholarship, teaching, and publishing

The DArt Design Studio provides workstations equipped with the latest versions of digital video, desktop publishing, 3-D rendering, website authoring, animation, multimedia, graphic, and audio software, as well as large format printing, physical computing, sound recording, and rapid prototyping facilities.

From welding, casting, wood, foundry and digital making spaces to photo documentation and gallery facilities, the School of Visual Arts Sculpture Studio is a fully featured home to all sculpture students.

The School of Visual Arts Photo Center provides students the ability to make exceptional color and B&W; prints using a wide variety of fine art printing papers. Our expert system relies on fast computers, the most recent software, high-end color printers, and a state-of-the-art color management system to give students a professional experience.

The School of Visual Arts ceramics studio provides instructional and work space for ceramics students and houses the kilns that finish the students' work. Kilns are state-of-the-art and energy-efficient, providing students both hands-on experience and control over their work.

The School of Visual Arts Makerspace is a hub of creation and fabrication, and contains 3D scanning and printing equipment, robust computer workstations, as well as a CNC milling machine and a custom-built 3d clay printer. It a space for discover and making, and it's always changing and updating to empower student creativity.

The School of Visual Arts Wood and Metal Shop is an exceptionally well-equipped and maintained facility open for use to any student enrolled in the School of Visual Arts classes. The shop serves as the core of activity for a variety of classes and individual projects ranging from foundation level classes to graduate work.

The Stuckeman Shop – primarily supporting architecture, landscape architecture, and graphic design students – provides a vast array of wood, metal, and digital tools and equipment so that motivated students can develop their ideas and transform drawings into three-dimensional objects.

The digiFAB lab is the home for digital fabrication equipment that is used for design and research projects by faculty and students in Stuckeman School and School of Visual Arts.
