Tanith is one of the many NPCs you'll encounter that has a side quest to complete in Elden Ring. For this part of our Elden Ring guide, you'll find details of where to find this NPC, how to begin their questline and the outcomes of your choices.

Where to Find Tanith

Tanith can be found in Volcano Manor. From the entrance, go straight ahead and you'll see her sitting to the right in the manor room. During a conversation, she'll ask if you will join Volcano Manor. By saying yes, you can the Drawing-Room Key that will let you access the doors in the corridor off to the right. If you go in the second door to the left, you'll see various NPCs here including Recusant Bernahl, Rya and Diallos, as well as a letter on the table.

The letter is from Tanith and if you take it back to her, she'll ask you to carry out a series of assassinations.

First Assassination For Volcano Manor

The first one is Old Knight Istvan, north of the Warmaster's Shack in Limgrave. Once you've defeated him, you'll be given a Rune Arc and Furlcalling Finger Remedy. Return to Volcano Manor after this and be sure to talk to Bernahl to unlock the ability to buy skills from him. Return to Tanith and she'll reward you with Magma Shot, and say that you're a fully-fledged member of Volcano Manor. Go back to the room with the NPCs to collect a letter for your second target.

Second Assassination for Volcano Manor

Picking up the letter this time will automatically mark them on your map. This one is Rileigh the Idle, who you can find south of the Bridge of Iniquity in the Altus Plateau. Killing Rileigh will reward you with Crepus's Vial and some Black-Key Bolts. Return to Tanith and tell her about the success and you'll receive a Serpentbone Blade. Tanith will also tell you that if you continue on this path, you'll be able to meet Rykard.

Go back to the room with the NPCs and receive a red letter. This is the final assassination. When you return to the castle after completing this mission, Diallos and Rya will disappear.

Speaking to Bernahl, however, will see him give you an item - Letter to Bernahl. In this, letter Volcano Manor requests the assassinations of two Tarnished:

• Vargram the Raging Wolf and Errant Sorcerer Wilhelm (who can be found near the Divine Bridge in Altus Plateau).

Bernahl will join you when you invade their world, and defeating them earns you:

• Raging Wolf Helm
• Raging Wolf Armor
• Raging Wolf Gauntlets
• Raging Wolf Greaves

When you return to Volcano Manor Bernahl will reward you with Gelmir's Fury. Diallos will also be back at the Manor.

Third Assassination

Juno Hoslow, Knight of Blood is the third assassination target and can be found at the Mountaintops of the Giants, by the Shack of the Lofty.

For defeating him you'll receive:

• Hoslow's Petal Whip
• Hoslow's Helm
• Hoslow's Armor
• Hoslow's Gauntlets
• Hoswlow's Greaves

Return to Tanith after you've completed the final assassination. She'll reward you with a Taker's Cameo and will ask if you're ready to see the Lord. You can choose to accept or not at this point. If you say yes, Tanith will transport you to the Lord's Chamber.

At the Chamber

When you arrive, there will be an Audience Pathway Site of Grace for you to activate. Head through the mist and pick up Serpent-Hunter sword from the corpse on the left, to take on the God-Devouring Serpent.

Once you've defeated the God-Devouring Serpent, it will be revealed to be Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy. You can find more details on how to defeat this Main Boss on that page.

After Slaying Rykard

When you've beaten Rykard, Lord of Blasphemy, you'll receive Rykard's Great Rune and Remembrance of the Blasphemous. Speak to Tanith again and she'll say that she will leave Volcano Manor.

If you rest at a Site of Grace, Tanith will leave Volcano Manor (along with everyone else). Return to Rykard's chamber, and you'll find Tanith slowly eating away at Rykard.

At the end of the Patches Questline, Patches will give you Dancer's Castanets to take to Tanith.

Return to her in Rykard's chamber and decide whether or not to give them to her.
