    As Ive written many times before, the use of force for democratic regime change rarely works, and therefore the US should not do it. We are witnessing in Ukraine that the use of force for autocratic regime change also doesn't work. Hope that lesson is being learned in Beijing. 1/

  20. Zelensky has stated repeatedly his readiness to embrace neutrality (provided its ratified in a referendum) for security guarantees. Putin has rejected this offer categorically. Putin is responsible for prolonging this senseless war, not Ukraine and not the West.

  21. NATO was living off of inertia before Putin invaded Ukraine in 2014. Putins first war against Ukraine gave the alliance nee focus and resolve. But his second invasion has really reinvigorated and expanded the alliance.
