Every time No 10 tries to draw a line on partygate another chapter opens. Here we have the prospect of another ticking clock, another mine in the political road, yet more sense for Conservative MPs that Boris Johnson cannot untangle himself, however much he wills it.

NEW Conservative MPs are being sent home and told they don't have to vote on Labour's Privileges committee motion.
This means the motion will almost certainly pass and Boris Johnson will be investigated for misleading the Commons, as soon as Scotland Yard finishes its work.

Tory benches in Parliament are sparse today as we debate whether the Prime Minister misled us over #partygate.
But right now William Wragg MP is giving a very brave and passionate speech which shows how it’s not just my side of the House who care about this important issue.

Boris Johnson is increasingly tangled in Partygate web with little sign of escaping it soon. No immediate sign that Tory MPs will bring him down - they still believe he’s their best chance of winning the next election - but many are uneasy and next few months will be critical.

Tory MPs are being told by whips they can head home and not vote on Labour’s motion later - meaning it will almost certainly pass.
That means Boris Johnson will be investigated for misleading Parliament once the Met Police inquiry is over.

Tory rebel William Wragg says many Tory MPs are “struggling” with Partygate.
“We bear the scars of misjudgements of leadership. There can be few colleagues who are truly enjoying being MPs at the moment. It is utterly depressing to be asked to defend the indefensible”.

Tory MP William Wragg, who has called for PM to go, says Labour motion is “perfectly acceptable”.
He criticises PM for hiding behind Ukraine: “The invasion of a sovereign nation by a dictatorial aggressor should not be a reason why we should accept lower standards ourselves”.

So this appeared in Liverpool last week.
For those who may be unaware, this hospital was approved (under the last Labour government) 13 years ago in 2009. Building began in 2013. It was due in 2017. And still isn't ready.
This ad, in short, is a stone cold lie.

But as it sort of is #MayDay, here is a photo from #Kimpton May Day celebrations 1966, Eric Morecambe and the May Queen seated in the front of an open-top vintage car.

A small story of Russian slave raids on Ukraine - my cousin's wife's family, from Mariupol, have been 'evacuated' to Russia. First they were sent to Taganrog, then Rostov, now Khabarovsk in the far east. No one tells them why they're being sent, for what reason,

We are watching thousands and thousands of Ukrainian citizens being murdered by a madmen. How we can stand by and let this happen?
