Lesser-Known Heroes

Not every superhero can have a billion-dollar movie franchise—although maybe some of them should.
The first costumed superhero?
That’s what some call this character, who was created by Lee Falk and Ray Moore.
DC’s most disrespected hero?
While that might once have been true, this character has undergone something of a renaissance thanks, in part, to a blockbuster film starring Jason Momoa.
Britain’s first superhero?
His catchphrase was “Kimota!” (“atomic” phonetically backward).
Ahead of his time?
This superhero’s 1991 film did poorly at the box office, but its easy mixture of humor and action anticipated a wave of hugely successful comic-book adaptations.
What superhero was summoned by Rasputin and Nazis?
Luckily he was found and adopted by a British parapsychologist and raised to be a force for good.

The Most Famous Duel?

And the climax of the musical, as it was to Alexander Hamilton’s life, is his July 11, 1804, duel with longtime political rival Aaron Burr, then the U.S. vice president. We take a closer look at the event and dispel some misconceptions.
