2022 General Election: SODELPA is moving forward – Jale

The Social Democratic Liberal Party is moving forward and will not look back.

SODELPA vice-president and head of negotiations Anare Jale made this assurance to the media at this afternoon outside the party’s headquarters in Suva.

Mr Jale said all the votes  at the management board meeting yesterday was validated by Lenaitasi Duru, who resigned as SODELPA general secretary last night.

Mr Duru claims that two members of the management board who were present and voted in yesterday’s meeting were non-compliant and he declared the meeting as ‘null and void.”

However Mr Jale said everything was validated yesterday.

He said the meeting was legal and Mr Duru, as the general secretary, verified that all participants at the meeting yesterday as confirmed to be regular representatives of their constituencies.

“He verified himself, so what is he saying now?” Mr Jale said.

“SODELPA is not turning back, the country is not turning back; we are moving forward.”
