2022 General Meeting: Late SODELPA founder’s wife among supporters turned away at management board meeting

Leba Qarase – the wife of the late former Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase – was among supporters who were turned away at the SODELPA management board meeting at the Southern Cross Hotel in Suva this morning.
She was informed upon arrival at the meeting venue that only “registered board members” would be allowed to be in the meeting.
Mrs Qarase said she hoped the three political parties – SODELPA, The People’s Alliance Party and National Federation Party – would come to an agreement and form a coalition after the meeting.
Among those turned away were former Party general secretary Emele Duituturaga, Party communications officer Tukini Cama, Party candidate Koroi Tuilomaloma and Lami president Jimi Savu.
